Here's where I am going to post some of my doodlings with Photoshop Elements
3.0. I have plenty of books on how to tweak photos with this software,
and for the most part, the software has been doing only the very very
basic things in my day-to-day use of it. But there is SOOOO much more
out there that even this version of the software can do. So I'm going
to post some of the results I've gotten from tweaking some of my photos.
Below are the pictures (the newest creations are at the top), both the
before version and the after version. If you're interested in any of these
in high-res, photo-printable goodness, let me know and I'll send you the
full-on version. Enjoy!

rest of this website are copyrighted by ME (Hobie Barnes)! (except for
those pics in the DVD section, where appropriate credit is given.)
Killer
Keystone View
At the top of Keystone Mtn in the Rocky Mountains is a very breathtaking
view, reached once you take the Gondola up. We were here for one
last ski adventure in April 2006, and the clouds were just amazing
to view. It literally looked like you were about to ski into the
abyss. I wanted to replace my Christmas photo on the front of the
website, but couldn't figure out just what to put. Then I saw this
'montage' technique in the Photoshop book and thought of this ski
picture and Voila, the rest is history.

Fall
in Aspen
In this picture, I took one of my favorite photos from my drive
out to Colorado Springs in Oct 05. I had stopped in Aspen (because
who doesn't want to stop in Aspen?) and saw this beautiful little
pull-off with a little wood bridge over a little creek. My friend
Erin has just gotten one of her scenery pictures professionally
Ansel-Adams-ized; I wanted to see if I could do the same with one
of the techniques in a book I have. I loved the results, and have
printed out a page-size version of it.
