There's no method to the madness
You just gotta let the beat control your body
So I've decided to let you see if you could enjoy a Hobie-jam by
listing the CDs I've created. See if you can detect a theme - if
you can, let me know. And if you want a copy of some of this madness,
uh, let me know. Discreetly, of course.

- Double Dutch Bus - Frankie Smith (an amazing
funky selection - give me a HO if you got your funky bus fare!)
- Gossip Folks (Remix) - Missy Elliott (so
as not to sound redundant, I put this Double Dutch Bus inspired
song's remix on here instead)
- Hey, Man! - Nelly Furtado (amazingly, this
entire album is a blast to listen to. I love the orchestral sounds
on this song though)
- Love Profusion - Madonna (her latest, American
Life, didn't sell well, but it has great songs, this one being
the one I fell in love with first)
- Burn For You - Kreo
- Ecstacy - Johnny Vicious featuring Lulu (what
you'd probably hear at a rave - picture glow sticks)
- It Just Won't Do - Tim Deluxe
- Touch It - Monifah (an oldie but a goodie)
- We Both Reached for the Gun - Chicago cast
(I can't wait for this DVD to come out - this is my favorite
song from the movie)
- On & On & On - ABBA (I will always
have memories of Tracy with this song - ABBA and puzzles!)
- Objections (Tango) - Shakira
- Stranger in my House (Remix) - Tamia (this
song can get anyone up on the dance floor)
- (S)aint - Marilyn Manson (gotta love Marilyn
Manson, or not)
- My Heart Goes Boom - French Affair (another
Tracy memory!)
- Every Breath You Take/Peter Gunn Theme Remix (an
awesome remix done for the Sopranos Season 3 opener)
- Nobody Knows Me - Madonna (my second favorite
song off the latest album)
- So Good - Destiny's Child (from the This
is the Remix album, an unrelentingly upbeat song)
- Where Do We Go From Here? - Buffy the Vampire
Slayer cast (I LOVE this song - it's short but powerful)
- In Da Club - 50 Cent (I thought this could
be the answer to the question posed by #18)

- Summer Night City - ABBA
- Just a Little - Liberty X (a great British
pop act I caught when returning from my London trip - very cool
song)
- Die Another Day (Remix) - Madonna
- Under Attack - Mamma Mia cast (a much better
version than the ABBA original)
- Stuck on You - Elvis Presley (love for
this song came from Lilo & Stitch)
- He Nele No Lilo - Ho'omalu & the Children's
Chorus (notice the Lilo & Stitch theme)
- Round Round - Sugababes (another London
trip track - I heard it and loved this dance song)
- Jumpin' Jumpin' (remix) - Destiny's Child (the
second half of this song has a new, better version of the original)
- Move It Like This - Baha Men
- Don't You Worry Bout a Thing - Stevie Wonder
(this album really did channel my London trip - this track
was recommended to me by friends I met during my trip)
- Lay All Your Love on Me - Mamma Mia cast
- Escape - Enrique Iglesias (a Byron song
that I grew to like as well)
- Turn to You - Melanie C (yes, it's a former
Spice Girl, but it's an awesome dance track)
- Thinking it Over - Liberty X
- Stomp to My Beat - JS16 (I slowed it down
in track 14 just to speed it back up with this one)
- You Gets No Love - Faith Evans (nice remix
done to the Eurythmics Sweet Dreams)
- One Night - Elvis Presley
- You Can't Always Get What You Want - The Rolling
Stones (a classic from the past, and one of my favorite Stones
songs)
- So Long - ABBA (gotta love ABBA)

Made July 8, 2002 at Baia da Salga, Terceira, Azores
Back to top |
- Jaan Pehachaan Ho - Mohammed Rafi (see
Ghost World - this explains EVERYTHING)
- Can't Get You Out of My Head - Kylie Minogue
(possibly the greatest dance song ever)
- Without Me - Eminem (Two trailer park girls
go round the outside, round the outside - enough said)
- The Lonely Goatherd - Sound of Music cast (I
LOVE this song, and it's my favorite scene from the film)
- Sige Al Lider - Los Merenos (a holdover
from my favorite European-flavored songs)
- Ain't It Funny - Jennifer Lopez
- Get the Party Started - Pink (word. before
it was overplayed, this song was pretty good)
- Spectacular, Spectacular - Moulin Rouge cast
(when the second album was released, I finally got the song from
one of the more entertaining scenes in the movie)
- Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom - Vengaboys (when
in the Azores, you've got to like the music they like)
- So Unsexy - Alanis Morrissette
- Sunshine Hotel - Jamie Lewis & Nick Morris
(70s-sounding fun track)
- I Love to Boogie - T. Rex (See Billy Elliot
- this is the best scene in the movie)
- Hunter - Dido
- C'mon C'mon - Sheryl Crow (this is the
best song off her latest album - this duet with Stevie Nicks is
kick ass)
- We Are All Made of Stars - Moby (good,
but not quite as good as stuff from his Play album)
- Love at First Sight - Kylie Minogue (honestly,
this is the second best track off a phenomenal album)
- Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi (fresh from Jay
& Silent Bob Strike Back - go Shannon Elizabeth!)
- Hella Good - No Doubt (their latest incarnation
is fun, and this was the best song in my opinion)

#14
Made sometime while at the Azores; I mistakenly skipped 13. Also,
this is revision 2, as rev 1 got jacked up and I didn't have the
track listing
- Don't Tell Me (Remix) - Madonna (an awesome
dance remix to an already great tune)
- Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops) - Blu Cantrell (a
one-hit wonder if there ever was one; I stupidly bought the album,
but this song is pretty cool)
- Get Ur Freak On - Missy Elliott (she has
the best songs, ever. This one is pretty freaky, but incredible)
- Start the Commotion - The Wiseguys (did
this song get overplayed or what? Yet still, it's a great listen
if you haven't heard it in awhile)
- Relating to a Psychopath - Macy Gray (her
second album didn't sell so well, but it did have some good songs
like this one on it)
- Deep in the Heart of Texas - Duane Eddy (I
had to have this song after living and loving it in San Antonio)
- Fallin' - Alicia Keys (Powerful good song.
What the hell happened to her?)
- I'm a Slave 4 U - Britney Spears (This
song rocks. Who cares if Britney is slutty!?)
- Tonight & the Rest of My Life - Nina Gordon
(the song that played during "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"
trailer - I never saw the movie)
- Marriage of Figaro - Mozart (Shawshank
Redemption motivated me to have this song on the cd)
- Come What May - Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor
(the only original song in Moulin Rouge)
- Around the World (la la la) -
ATC (a typical, yet good, European groove tune)
- Saturday Night - Bay City Rollers (from
So I Married an Axe Murderer, plus it's a great bar song!)
- Oblivion - Macy Gray (another Macy Gray
tune, yet quite a crazy one this time)
- Sandstorm - Darude (More crazy European
beats. That's a theme on this album and higher)
- Bootylicious - Destiny's Child (some might
say it's sacrilege to mix a Stevie Nicks riff and Destiny's child.
Those people can kiss my booty, as this song rocks!)
- Kick Some Ass - Stroke 9 (from Jay &
Silent Bob Strike Back, this band can really rock)
- Crash - The Primatives (Alan Amato introduced
me to this great pre-going out song. Very fun)
- 4 My People - Missy Elliott (quite possibly
my favorite Missy Elliott track - another one that gets you moving)
