DAREDEVIL

Daredevil is not your regular superhero flick, let me tell you! Not that that's a bad thing, but I can honestly tell you I was surprised at many of the elements and scenes that occurred. Your protagonist is a vigilante, and a pretty harsh one at that, and your villains are villains without redemption, which is more realistic, I guess, but still kinda hard to watch. And in one truly surprising plot point near the end, I just kept waiting for somebody to walk around the corner and make everything good again. Well, maybe in the sequel.... Back to the point, it's a pretty decent movie with decent acting, awesome special effects, and a fairly good story. Best of all, it was only 96 minutes, unlike the bloatedness of Two Towers (which I didn't mind) or Spiderman (which I did). And in the previews before Daredevil, I got to see X-Men 2 (SWEET!) and Bringing Down the House, which looks hilarious! Overall, Daredevil is a good weekend afternoon movie.
