By now, my feet were dying. Especially my right one.
I had gotten a blister on the bottom of it, so I started walking
on the right side of that foot, causing my ankle to get sore and
for my right foot to rub raw against my shoe. Oh the joy. So walking
wasn't pleasant for me anymore. But I walked anyways, because hey,
you're not in London everyday now, are you? So we went to Notting
Hill in search of anything recognizable from the movie. We found
the main shopping street, I don't know how, but we did. Also managed
to find a tube station to get out of there, as we also discovered
the edge of the ghetto. Then we headed to the British Museum, home
to a great collection of all sorts of antiquities from around the
world, but namely the home of the Rosetta Stone. We took a London
Walk tour of the museum. While it wasn't exactly as thrilling as
the other walks (namely because our guide wasn't all that excited
to be there - poor Molly), it was cool to see all the stuff they
had. Afterwards, we went to the Tower Bridge to take some pictures
and then we walked (again) along the Thames looking for dinner.
Alas, never found anythign but eventually a tube station which we
took to the West End. Where for me, the highlight of the day went
to seeing Mamma Mia! What an incredible show, especially at 3rd
row stage right! It's set to ABBA songs and is just a blast to watch.
The end was probably the best for me, as Waterloo was finally performed.
I had been disappointed to see the song list and find it was not
there. :-( But the encore had it. Woo hoo! Note: I stole some of
the Mamma Mia pictures from Al.
