Let the Birthday Photos Commence!

These pictures are from quite a few weeks, reaching back into October from when we went up to Las Vegas to celebrate both my and my mom’s birthdays as well as just yesterday, when great friends gathered to help me continue celebrating my birthday month (that’s how everyone celebrates a birthday nowadays, right?).

I will keep the recap short – the Vegas trip was fantastic. Â The dining was fabulous, with Mon Ami Gabi, Gordon Ramsay Steak, and Mario Batali’s OTTO all on the agenda. Â All the food was delicious and definitely expensive, but of course well worth it. Â And who knew, but Beef Wellington is freakin’ fantastic. Â The gambling was meh, and I ended up playing only craps. Â The dice were never that hot this time, but I managed to prevent from losing too much by using the SuperSystem. Â What was hot, though, you ask? Â The men dressing up for Halloween, since it was the Saturday before the mid-week Halloween. Â Men in great shape: Â You are always welcome to dress like a slutty Roman Gladiator. Â Always. Â Thank you. Â We met up with Michancy a few nights while up there, first drinking it up at Planet Hollywood’s PBR bar (her friend was singing in a band there while the Professional Bull Riders thing was ongoing), then heading to Cosmopolitan to get her car (they have a very fancy Valet), and finally Nine Fine Irishmen at NYNY. Â Lots of drinking. Â We then met up again on Saturday to go to Krave – no table service this time (it was just the three of us) but we did dance and drink and ogle the many hot men. Â Many hot men. Â Many dressed in slutty costumes and some, like the gogo boys and the bartenders, just in their natural state of being. Â It was wonderful. Â A very successful vacation…

…of course there was the whole SuperStorm Sandy thing which coworkers and friends had to endure on the East Coast. Â What a cluster that turned out to be. Â We’re heading to NYC tomorrow for a week (me for work, primarily) and luckily things seem to be back to normal, especially in Manhattan.

And yay for 4 MORE YEARS to President Obama!!!!!! Â I won’t belabor the point on this site, but needless to say, Larry & I are both relieved and excited.

Finally, there are photos up from last night when Mila, Sveta, Sarah, Maj, and Nicki all came out with Larry & I to continue celebrating my birthday. Â First we had dinner at The Stinking Rose, a very garlic-y and delicious restaurant. Â Also drank a lot. Â Hmm…..Themes. Â Afterwards, it was off to the Abbey for drinking and dancing and ogling the gogo boys. Â EVERYONE ELSE HAD THIS IDEA TOO. Â Jesus, it was packed last night. Â It’s not that fun when it’s just a lot of shoving. Â Ah well, perhaps another time it won’t be so nuts.
