Man, this stupid game is just as addictive as its predecessor, Tropico 4. There’s something just inherently satisfying about a Simcity-like experience but completely set in some Banana Republic somewhere. You can build up industry while also making sure that you as El Presidente get your fair share of the proceeds. I have yet to play as a despotic dictator because it just doesn’t feel right, for me, but it is fun to play the Axis and Allies against each other to make sure Tropico reigns supreme!
