A Walking Fool

It’s Wednesday morning and I just walked 25 blocks to work. I was a sweaty pig by the time I got here. It’s not as if it was truly very hot but carrying a slightly heavy bag and doing my power walk down Park Ave (you have to say Park Avenue with a snobby accent, by the way) will always equal me being a sweaty mess. But I am actually okay with it because I was in minimal pain as my lower back pain has ebbed almost completely away.

I woke up on Monday morning almost ridiculously unable to move – and for seemingly no reason at all. But my lower back was seriously PO’d at me and made sure I was miserable. I was supposed to start training for my Urbanathlon on Monday, but I scrapped that plan because seriously, I could barely move. But I did get to enjoy the wonder that is the Icy/Hot Pad, and man, those things work like a motherfuckin’ charm. It’s awesome. I was still sore yesterday but was getting better and now today I’m just a little little sore. Yay!

Last night I went to Central Park for a free performance from the NY Philharmonic – and it seemed all of NYC was there too. Wow. Shelly said that it was more crowded then it was even for the free Bon Jovi concert this weekend. Who knew there were so many classical music lovers out there?

Alright – I’ve got to refocus on work now. Be back soon.
