I’m officially 39. Less than 365 days until 40. YAY.
Here’s pics I took on my birthday.
Larry took me out to Cafe Beaujolais for a great French dinner – I don’t mind that place becoming a tradition as the food and atmosphere are great and the waiters are decidedly attractive. I did have to go in to work that day, so when I woke up that morning, my clock radio woke me up with the sounds of “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins. Was that someone trying to tell me something? My FB friends insisted it was a good thing. I’m going to go with it.
I got some great gifts too. Larry thoughtfully got us a new “squeezebox” for the kitchen area. We had originally got one of the Logitech Squeezebox devices back when we lived in Santa Monica. It’s a fantastic device as it’s effectively an internet radio with a built-in speaker all in a sleek compact form. And it’s RED. Anyway, we mostly migrated to using it as our SiriusXM online player for home use and then sonofaBITCH Logitech stopped supporting it as of three weeks ago and SiriusXM required a firmware update for any affiliated products to continue listening to the stream. Suddenly our lives were upheaved. We tried listening to it via an app on our TV but it was fucking psychotic. Sometimes The Blend’s signal would get hijacked and the volume of screeching was insane. No bueno. So yeah, Larry found a device made by a manufacturer that basically must have bought the rights to make the same product as Logitech. It’s slightly different, but not much, and it’s still RED. And it plays SiriusXM again! Music fills our lives once more! 🙂
Anyway, you’ll also see that my dad made me a cool wood carving to add to the tree I have, so that’s good. It also tied in well with another gift that Larry got me, which was a 2 Blu-Ray/1 CD set of the Beatles’ 1 album. This time remastered as well as with their videos they made for those songs on 1 plus a whole lot more. Yay! Mom also hooked me up with some good good spending money. Yay 39!
