Links to My Picture Galleries

I take quite a few pictures and as you’ll see in this site, they’re everywhere!  For a quick way to see those I’ve put up publicly on Picasa, the link to them is here:

Hobie’s Massive Picasa Gallery (it’s always getting more and more pics!)

I’ve also maintained the legacy pages that I self-coded in HTML back in the day – although as a heads-up, there’s not much in the way of web-gallery features.

Hobie’s old-school Website Photo Gallery (such ghetto html ahead!)

My Favorite Pictures

And now, I thought that it would be nice to put up in this section those select photos that I’m just very enamored with or proud of, for any different variety of reasons.  This set of photos will constantly have additions!

I love this picture

Even though I wish I had my real camera to take this picture, just the perfect light in the sky and in the buildings really makes this such a  neat “city” picture.

The scenery when leaving Montenegro was like out of a Lord of the Rings movie.  Breathtaking.

I love this crazy ass picture looking down Broadway to Hotel Empire

I’d print this bad boy in a giant format in order to have some dramatic effect on a wall – I freakin’ love this picture of NYC!

Ah, my amazing God-Rays shot of Split Rock from my house in Baia da Salga in the Azores.  What a ridiculous thing to observe.  I had such an amazing place to live as this was the view!

And here's Central Park

This picture from Central Park really captures the feel of the park in the fall.  I look at this picture and can get immediately transported to NYC.

The blue and white colors here are no lie. It was that beautiful. One of my fave pics.

Talk about a perfect Greek picture.  I took this while on Santorini in 2011 during our first cruise excursion – it was so damn hot that day.  Regardless, the blue sky and the white architecture knock me out even now.

I liked how this picture turned out – I hoped that it would look like this, but never expected it to.   The lights of Vegas are so much fun to observe.

Super slick shot of the finished cookies - thanks Larry!

Technically, I didn’t take this photo; Larry did.  But it turned out so perfectly and I DID make the cookies.

Larry’s niece, Stacie, caught in mid-action.  What a lucky shot and it captures her excitement at her birthday party pretty accurately.

Hi Yongjae this theme is the free Twenty Fourteen theme provided by WordPress. I like it a lot and there’s plenty of flexibility contained within. I think I’ve enjoyed using the theme the most out of others I’ve tried, and thanks for the feedback!

Last question. How did you have the EXIF data (camera model, ISO, shutter speed) appear on every single photo? Did you upload all pics to Picasa and embed it to your site?

You are right in that I upload my pics to Picasa. I found a great WordPress plugin called Shashin that allows you to then display the photos here, along with all their metadata, without having to actually host the photos on the site itself. I’ve been very very happy with how easy it is to use.

Oh I see. Is there a way I can contact you via email? I think I’m going to have to more questions regarding WordPress.
