The Seventh Leg
Sala Sentle, Brian and Greg!
This
actually kinda sucks, as these guys were favorites of mine. They
were funny, light-hearted, and seemed to be having a great time
with each other and on the trip. I actually thought they had a chance
what with all the mistakes made by people on their way to the Pit
Stop this time. But alas, I think editing showed it to be closer
than presumed, although it was looking likely that Meredith and
Gretchen were about to blow it big time. I don't think M&G are
going to be around for much longer though. Because if the new background
to look out for is mountainous terrain, then both Meredith/Gretchen
and Ron/Kelly need to look out. And it makes sense too, as Ron &
Kelly are seriously imploding and Meredith & Gretchen just seem
to be running out of steam, and honestly, they're playing stupidly.
How can you miss the clues so many times now? The miss in the caves
last episode caused Gretchen to get seriously hurt, and this time
by driving by the log, you had to go all the way back. I think Uchenna
& Joyce's oversight was stupid too, but they were at least kinda
close. STUPID MOVES WILL LOSE YOU THE RACE, PEOPLE!
Francistown
to Khwai River Lodge, Botswana
I'm a little tired and unmotivated and depressed, so I am keeping
my extrapolation to a minimum tonight. Rather, here are some highlights
that I wrote down while watching that made me chuckle:
- The fact that Gretchen looked like an abused spouse at the beginning
of the race. Ouch!
- How many people aren't reading the clues completely? How much
time did the brothers lose playing around at the 'fake' water tower?
Did it lose them the race?
- Uchenna kicking serious butt on their Detour choice - he was
balancing those items like it was no problem.
- Lynn and Alex having the worst luck (or worst skill) with cars.
2 broken vehicles? Amazing.
- Just the ridiculousness of two teams messing up on their way
to the Pit Stop. Stop playing stupidly - you're near the end and
it's time to clean up and race fast!
