Say Goodbye to Mr. Paranoia: Jamie

To quickly recap what has happened in the two in-between episodes, we merged after Amy's removal from the Mayan Empire. The remaining Yaxha were then told to go to the Nakum camp immediately, where they didn't exactly get a warm reception. Jamie proved to be especially annoying. The old Yaxhans tried to work hard and put themselves in the new Xhakum tribe, but it didn't really help. In fact, Jamie made it especially clear that one of them was in danger, and it turned out to be Brandon's time to get evicted, basically because Bobby Jon pleaded to Stephenie to at least make the jury. She honored his request, but just barely, because at the next Tribal Council, Bobby Jon was sent home after Gary pulled out a miraculous Hail Mary with his finding of the 'Extra' Immunity Idol. Gary knew he was targeted for that tribal council, and after realizing Judd had lied to everybody about the true location of the Immunity Idol, found it and used it. The backup target, Bobby Jon, got put on the chopping block and sent home. Which now brings us to the most recent episode!

Muddy Reward Challenge and Sapped Strength

I bet Cindy was bummed when she got teamed up with Lydia for this challenge - Lydia managed to get to the pot of corn, but on the way back, couldn't even make it without literally pulling herself to the end with her arms. It really wasn't much of a competition at that point, as the Stephenie-Danni team combined with the Gary-Judd team is pretty much unstoppable. I have a feeling that Lydia couldn't have finished that even if she and Cindy had honored Jamie's urgings of finishing regardless. I love Cindy more and more as she basically told him to shut the hell up - it's over! The actual reward was sweet, and the inklings of a new alliance are intriguing, with a Danni-Gary-Judd-Stephenie final four being quite unstoppable. Of course, this most recent tribal council might have driven a stake through this, as Judd may not feel the love much anymore. Of course, if he gets sent home, it means no more blurry Judd shots. Yay for that to stop! Blech.

Immunity Up For Grabs

Cindy gave Rafe a good run for the money at that Immunity challenge - and she just passed Gary at that semifinal point. I am rooting more and more for Cindy to go far. Rafe creeps me out, but he honestly has the most power right now. I don't think Stephenie will make it to the final two, but at least she will have made it farther than last time. Plus, I don't think anyone will award her the million for the sake of her being a DoOver. But back to Cindy - she's definitely got the motivation to go far, and she has a very calm and rational head on her shoulders. She wouldn't let Jamie egg her on to get mad at Gary for voting for her at the last tribal council - she recognizes it as a game and knows you'll get votes. Plus, she knows how to answer Jeff's questions at tribal council - honesty mixed with non-abrasive answers. Her response to if you have to lie in this game was very diplomatic - 'lies are a part of the game'. She didn't she lied, yet didn't say she hasn't lied either. Clever. She needs to make a power move though to stay in this, and I'm not sure she will do this. Guess we'll see!

Farewell to Schizo

I'm glad that Jamie ended up going this week. I was almost certain they'd keep him around just because he was so desperate to make the Final 6, but it is thus obvious that his paranoia was not overedited. He was making drama where none needed to be, and when you have an irritant like that around camp, it needs to be removed. His insistence at reassurance and deals were maddening. And it shows that Rafe has lots of power, because all he needed to do was convince Lydia, and then Stephenie went along. The funny part is that Judd wasn't a factor in this vote, meaning I have a feeling Judd is about to go home. Because when you get that blindsided, that means you're no longer in the power structure.

Final Thoughts

This season has gotten progressively better as we get closer and closer to the end. I'm happy to see Stephenie in the power player position, but she has to be careful now. She's an easy target and an easy reason to get voted out, so she better make some strong alliance deals now if she expects to stick around.

Other's Thoughts:

C-Money speaks!!!!!!

Okay… okay… I’ll write to you about Survivor. Last week was just fucking pathetic, okay? I cannot believe that all those people believed Jamie. He’s a freak, he’s a loser and a lose cannon. Then he flat out lies to Gary and then goes and tells everyone he lied to Gary. Methinks, I would have gotten rid of him (and still will) VERY SOON!!

So this week, as soon as they all get back from tribal council, Jamie starts the shit again! He tries to make people mad, tries to start fights… He’s got problems, serious problems and I’m hoping he doesn’t win immunity again, cuz he needs to go.

What a nasty reward challenge, huh? That mud was deep and thick and poor Lydia! She’s so short and has such thick legs… I can see how it was tough for her. And, of course, Jamie has to speak. “Keep going. Finish the game.” I think I liked it better when he didn’t say anything and just sit there with that serial killer look on his face. I still think he is a serial killer who got on the show to get away from the police. Judd, Stephanie, Gary and Stick-chick get to take a shower and sleep somewhere nice. We got to see another fat naked guy, but this one isn’t gay.

While the “big people” are away, Jamie starts going after Rafe. Poor Rafe, he may be a little weenie, but he’s an honest, good guy and he just doesn’t trust Jamie (who would???) I think Rafe was right to be honest with Jamie and tell him he cannot give his word to Jamie… Gary did the right thing by asking Judd and Steph what was going on. Gary hasn’t done anything wrong but be someone in the background. He’s not that strong and he doesn’t say much (from what the editors show us). I don’t see how he’s such a threat… Plus, the fact that he found the idol! That was great and I was so happy to see him bring it out at tribal council last time. Almost throwing it in Jamie’s face. The bastard.

How sweet that the winners of reward challenge got to see videos of their families! I even got a little tear-y eyed… (sniff)

Immunity challenge was pretty tough. I hate the rope ones… It was so good to see Rafe win it too!!! I hope they all smarten up and get Jamie out of there, but I can see keeping him too because if anyone was up against him in the end, they would win for sure… But he’s just too freaky for me, man. I wouldn’t be able to sleep with him on the island.

It’s amazing how Jamie keeps talking about other people. He is such an ass. He has changed people’s minds about others just to make himself look better. I know I’m seeing all this from the other side, but man, why don’t the other tribe members see it too? Whatever… it’s tribal council time… Oh YES!!!! Buh-bye!!! Idiot! And he leaves like an asshole would… Judd looked pissed, he wasn’t in on this vote, so I’m wondering how it’s going to be back at camp next week…

HAPPY THANKSGIVING YA’LL!!!
